RASP: Revisiting 3D Anamorphic Art for Shadow-Guided Packing of Irregular Objects

Inspired by 3D anamorphic art—where seemingly arbitrary 3D objects align to form a coherent structure when observed from a specific direction—we propose a novel differentiable rendering-based approach to optimizing the packing of arbitrarily shaped objects by analyzing the shadows they cast when illuminated from different angles. Furthermore, we have utilized this method to reconstruct broken objects and generate multi-view anamorphic art.
